MetaSweat contains a blend of special ingredients including:

• Tyrosine, which is important to proper functioning of the thyroid, adrenal and pituitary glands. Anhidrosis is suspected to be caused, in part, by a depletion of dopamine in the body. By supplementing L-tyrosine, a precursor for dopamine, these levels are replenished and sweating can resume.
• Magnesium (as oxide). Research has shown that exercise induces a redistribution of magnesium in the body to accommodate metabolic needs. Depletion of magnesium can have devastating consequences on performance and inhibit sweat production. It is included in MetaSweat to mitigate metabolic and oxidative stress.
• Niacin (Vitamin B3): Niacin has been shown to improve metabolic efficiency and thyroid function, as well as protect dopaminergic neurons from neurotoxicity, thus preventing a drop in dopamine levels that may be a causative factor in anhidrosis.
• Manganese (as proteinate). Manganese is involved in amino acid, cholesterol, glucose and carbohydrate metabolism. Research in animals suggests that manganese supplementation may improve glucose tolerance and reduce oxidative stress.
• Zinc (as proteinate). Zinc is involved in numerous aspects of cellular metabolism. Studies in animals have provided direct evidence for a relationship between Zinc and insulin metabolism in pancreatic β-cells. Zinc regulates insulin receptors, prolongs the action of insulin and promotes healthy lipid profiles.
• Copper (as proteinate). Copper deficiency may be a leading cause of insulin resistance. When supplementing zinc, it is imperative to include copper as zinc tends to deplete copper levels. MetaSweat is formulated to provide the ideal zinc-copper ratio your horse needs for optimal metabolic support.
• Iodine (from kelp). Iodine is essential for the production of thyroid hormone. Some suggest hypothyroidism, the decreased production of thyroid hormones, might be a mechanism for anhidrosis. Iodine supplementation has been studied for its effect on clinical signs of anhidrosis in horses.

Suggested Uses of MetaSweat:

• For sweat production, give 1 scoop (25 grams) morning and 1 scoop evening with feed until desired level of sweat production is achieved. Reduce to 1 scoop per day for maintenance.
• For insulin resistance and fat metabolism, give 1 scoop per day with feed.
