Equine Comfort Product® Correction Half Pad

The Equine Comfort Products® Correction Half Pad is designed to help you create a customized level of support that is just right for your horse. Classically styled with diamond quilting, this half pad has a moisture-wicking cotton flannel underside and billet straps. Four pockets (two in front and two in the rear) with VELCRO® brand closures each hold three removable shims (also called inserts) to help you compensate for changes in your horse’s back. Shims, included, are contoured to fit the pockets perfectly. Fits saddles 16 1/2" to 18".

Shims (inserts) help address minor saddle fitting issues by fitting into pockets on a correction pad to change the way a saddle fits on a horse. With the assistance and recommendation of a qualified saddle fitter, shims can help adjust the fit of a saddle on an asymmetrical horse or help fit a saddle that may sit a little low or may be slightly too big. Shims or inserts will not help the fit of a saddle that is too tight, and in fact can make the tight fit worse.
