This Herm Sprenger® Sensogan® Weymouth Bit with 16 mm mouth has 11 cm shanks (5 cm lower shanks). The mouthpiece is a straight bar with slight port. It offers no contact to the sensitive palate and is designed to allow steady, even pressure to be transmitted onto the entire width of the tongue.
A good choice of curb bit for horses with a flat palatal arches, it features a Sensogan mouthpiece. A proprietary blend of copper, zinc and manganese, Sensogan has a pleasant taste that encourages salivation and bit acceptance. The leverage effect sets in more directly due to the short shanks.
